Combien de fois Christophe Honoré a-t-il regardé “les Parapluies de Cherbourg”?? Il s’agît juste d’une question posée de bonne foi, serment de scout!

well shot? uck, the intro scene was stupid… and so much of the film was devoted to pain… but you are right, it was beautiful in so many scenes, i feel like sad beauty is a bit passe (or should be, at least)

Avant la haine, avant les coups
De sifflet ou de fouet
Avant la peine et le dégout
Brisons-là s’il te plait<3

The best 3 minutes, 23 seconds of any film I have seen this year. It is a crucial moment in the film, ‘Dan Paris,’ and it takes your breath away. If you like this clip, PLEASE see the film ‘Love Songs’ by the same director. It is set it Paris and about half of it is sung in French (with subtitles, of course). I absolutely adore ‘Love Songs.’

i agree. i speak french so it wasnt an issue for me, but having to read the subtitles drove my friend crazy!

You don’t need translation to know what is going on in this scene, there lies its beauty.

Would you be able to send me the file of the video so I can add subtitles in English and Spanish? Thank you!

Lui :
Mais tu m’embrasses et ça passe
Je vois bien
On s’débarrasse pas de toi comme ça
Lui :
Je pourrais t’éviter le pire
Elle :
Mais le meilleur est à venir
Ensemble :
Avant la haine, avant les coups
De sifflet ou de fouet
Avant la peine et le dégout
